The idea is to make adding multiple parts and labor items easier and more intuitive in every situation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Let&#8217;s break them down to have a better idea of what&#8217;s happening. Follow <a style=\"color: #3026f4; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/ari.app\/2021\/06\/how-to-update-my-ari-app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this guide<\/a> to update your app to the latest version.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2><b>How does it work?<\/b><\/h2>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>When creating or editing an invoice\/ job card\/ estimate &#8211; you will see one of three editing modes depending on the way your invoice is structured.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Those are <b><i>Table Mode, List Mode,<\/i><\/b> and <b><i>Grouped View.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-unordered-nested-list\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p><b><i>Table Mode<\/i><\/b> is the new default mode that allows you to add parts and labor while remaining on the same page.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p><b><i>List Mode<\/i><\/b> is the old editing mode where you go to the detailed item view with advanced options when you add parts and labor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p><b><i>Grouped View<\/i><\/b> will be the default editing mode in case you&#8217;ve created a group or reordered the items on your invoice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-image intercom-interblocks-align-left\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/1015928748\/3deb9d2d36644798e1bfcf89\/job+card+editing+modes.png?expires=1712667353&amp;signature=ce2d0545c7ad07cff68696f44d38a70f136040da3d64e3eafa49207543c924af\" width=\"1178\" height=\"467\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p><i>* The action buttons for adding parts\/ labor will behave differently on each mode.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p><i>* Now there are <b>reorder and group<\/b> and <b>select from inventory<\/b> buttons on each view.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Let&#8217;s look at each of the editing modes in more detail.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>The table mode is your go-to option if you need to add parts and labor quickly. This can be extremely helpful in scenarios where you need to edit one or two items and you don&#8217;t have to add them from the inventory menu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>To use it &#8211; click on Table mode(if there&#8217;s a different one by default) and click New Part\/ New Labor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>This will create a new editable row in the table where you should input the part\/ labor details. On the table, you will see columns like <b>id, description, price, quantity,<\/b> etc. When you click the &#8220;<b>Edit<\/b>&#8221; button &#8211; you will enter the detailed item view with more options. The <b>Delete <\/b>button removes the items from the invoice. If there are unsaved changes, you will see a red triangle appear on the edited cell.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>You can change the order of the rows by dragging and dropping the items. Simply hold the left-click mouse button and move the row to a side to activate this function.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve added\/ edited all the items you need &#8211; hit <b>Save&amp; Continue <\/b>to complete the changes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-image intercom-interblocks-align-left\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/1016105344\/3fb222292fa710e7ba30010a\/add+a+part+table+mode.gif\" width=\"600\" height=\"487\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Columns are also editable from the table view. You can click the 3 dots at the end of a column and start ticking the boxes you want to see on the invoice. If a box is selected &#8211; the respective column will appear. You can resize the columns with your mouse by dragging the border to a side.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<h2><strong>Table Mode<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-image intercom-interblocks-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/1015929739\/d26545735547c946b8b82c47\/changing+columns+table+mode.png\" width=\"1167\" height=\"903\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Another option is to click &#8220;<b>Select from inventory<\/b>&#8221; and look up the parts\/ labor there.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>List mode was the default editing mode in the previous ARI version. You can use it to add parts and labor and include extra details for each.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<h2><strong>List Mode<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Adding items from this mode will take you to a new page where you can input the details for an item. After you save the changes &#8211; the item will be added to the invoice\/ job card. When you click on an item on an invoice &#8211; you will go to the individual item page and change details such as description, ID, price, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Here you can also select an item from the Inventory by going through the respective view.<br \/>\n\u200b<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-image intercom-interblocks-align-left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/1016316354\/8675f1e42f77c9f07d6d0157\/list+mode+view.png\" width=\"1139\" height=\"906\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-subheading intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<h2><b>Grouped View<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>You will enter the Grouped View by default once you create a parts&amp; labor group and save it. When try to add new parts and labor here &#8211; you will go to the detailed item view.
