We are happy to introduce Deposit Requests, Bulk Payments for Invoices, and Tipping.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Follow <a style=\"color: #3026f4; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/ari.app\/2021\/06\/how-to-update-my-ari-app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">this guide<\/a> to transition to the newest ARI version quickly.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Let&#8217;s dive into the new features!<\/p>\n<h2>Creating a deposit request in ARI<\/h2>\n<p>Requesting a deposit in ARI is quite simple. You first need to <b>create an invoice<\/b> or start editing an existing one. Then select &#8220;<b>Request a Deposit<\/b>&#8221; from the menu at the bottom. Once you are there &#8211; you can set the deposit amount, and reason for the deposit request and monitor the deposit&#8217;s status.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-9158 size-full\" style=\"box-shadow: 0 2px 4px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.25); margin: 0.33rem; border-radius: 0.5rem;\" src=\"https:\/\/ari.app\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/request-a-deposit-tutorial.gif\" alt=\"request a deposit example in ARI\" width=\"600\" height=\"561\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you are ready with your request &#8211; just hit save to finalize the changes. The deposit request will appear immediately on the <b>client&#8217;s Invoices and Client Portal, <\/b>and they can pay it from there. You will see the deposit status change after clients take action. If there isn&#8217;t one active &#8211; they won&#8217;t be able to initiate the payment. Check out <a style=\"color: #3026f4; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Sq1HgUKqf-M\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this video<\/a> to learn how to activate a default online payment processor in ARI.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Making Deposit Payments as an ARI Client<\/h2>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>As mentioned previously, your clients will see any deposit requests after you create them. Your clients can then <b>pay the deposit from the client portal<\/b>. You first need to <b>grant them access<\/b> and ensure they <b>receive the right credentials<\/b>. Follow <a style=\"color: #3026f4; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/ari.app\/client-portal\/\">this guide<\/a> to set up the client portal access for your customers.<br \/>\n\u200b<br \/>\nAssuming you&#8217;ve granted them access and you&#8217;ve made a deposit request from the app &#8211; customers will see this reflected on their invoices. When you share a link with the invoice &#8211; they will see a &#8220;<b><i>Deposit Required<\/i><\/b>&#8221; notification. From there they should select <b><i>Make a Payment<\/i><\/b> -&gt; <b><i>Make a Deposit <\/i><\/b>and select the right one. Clients will see the notes you left on the request and write notes themselves. They can also give tips for the advance payment.<br \/>\nAs soon as clients pay the deposit &#8211; you will see the status change on the invoice.<br \/>\n\u200b<br \/>\nEvery time clients have an unpaid invoice or deposit &#8211; they will see a notification on the client portal dashboard. Customers will see all the invoices gathered until now and choose which they want to pay in full.<br \/>\nTo pay multiple invoices at once &#8211; first, open the client portal. Then go to <b><i>Make a Payment<\/i><\/b> -&gt; <b><i>Pay Invoices in Full <\/i><\/b>and you&#8217;ll see the bulk payments section<b><i>.<\/i><\/b><br \/>\nAfter that, select the invoices you want to pay, leave a note and a tip if you&#8217;d like, and continue towards making the payment.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"box-shadow: 0 2px 4px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.25); margin: 0.33rem; border-radius: 0.5rem;\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/1005320867\/8f32921e5778471ee5fef05e\/pay+multiple+invoices+and+give+tips.png?expires=1711651300&amp;signature=3825c728022102b0b9b42c3d0e1c4594e72b0f8ec6045d55b64deb0eefb9d9b7\" width=\"561\" height=\"742\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Sending Direct Payments<\/h2>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-paragraph no-margin intercom-interblocks-align-left\">\n<p>Alternatively &#8211; clients can now issue direct payments without creating an invoice. You can handle such payments if needed or if there&#8217;s an emergency. You can think of it as a new channel for receiving partial payments. If there&#8217;s a service you performed and your client had to pay later &#8211; you can request such payment and ask your client to note the previous Invoice number as a reference. Tips are also available here.
